Buddies,
Rain, Rain, Rain!!! sound everywhere in Chennai. I think this is not only in Chennai other part of Tamilnadu as well. I was watching this NEWS in TV and decide that I just want to do some help at-least what ever I can. Called to few of my friends to seek help from them. Everyone was ready to help. But they don't have any idea about how to implement it. I ran through all my contacts quickly and remembered a friend from Chennai who is also doing some social activities.
Called him to check about his first safety, enquired about him and I informed him saying that we are ready to help as much as possible. He provided the contact information to share all the collected goods (clothes or food items). I was expecting for minimal help from friends but they did more than what I expected from them.
At last we have collected around 6 bags of clothes and 10 K rupees. Again I had a chat with my friend in Chennai saying that we have about 10 K as cash what I should buy. He said if you can transfer to me I will buy things from here and distribute to the people who is looking for help. It is not that people is looking for help, it is our duty to help our brother and sisters.
I transferred the amount and he bought mat, milk powder and water bottle and distributed them successfully to the people. He also shared the bill for a proof. I shared to the people who lend their hands to complete this small mission and also attached the same here. It might be our first step towards to society. We may do lot a better in a organized way. This time we lagged in time, arrangement and preparation. To make it comfortable and face any situation, I have come up a with plan of saving a single rupee daily (already I have been a part of this kind of plan in my first company). So I now understand the power of that.
Guy's it might be difficult to donate a large amount (because we will have our own plan and spend money accordingly) when we are facing any natural disaster. Not only natural disaster for some other incidents too. If we have a friends group of more than 10 or 15 people and started saving a one rupee per day we will save around 365 for year (365*15=5,475) we can do lot better and also in the right time.
If we do the help for the needy people in the right time, it will bring a smile at their face and hope that there are some one to take care of us. So Friends let us start doing it and help to the people at the right time. Again Chennai folks keep going we are growing strong and recovering fast from the damage also pray to make rain to stay away from us for sometime.
